Biography
Daniel Grant is an ASC Award-nominated cinematographer working across features, documentaries, television and commercials. He studied at Toronto Metropolitan University and attended the Budapest Cinematography MasterClass led by Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, HSC.
Early in his career, Daniel filmed documentaries around the world alongside short films and independent features. His credits include Patricia Rozema’s Into the Forest, Night Raiders, the Emmy-nominated HBO series Station Eleven, Slip and Apple TV+’s Murderbot.
Daniel has received ten Canadian Society of Cinematographers Award nominations, three Canadian Screen Award nominations and, most recently, his first American Society of Cinematographers Award nomination for Murderbot.
